Relationships

Relationships play an important role in human existence and they are a common reason why people may turn to a psychologist. Some people are interested in “working” on their relationship with their partner or a friend, while others are interested in working on a relationship with a family member. The most common problems are assertiveness, inequity among partners or family members, violence, social anxiety, anger management, communication problems, divorce, even mourning. Those requests can be worked either individually or in couple or family therapy, depending on the type of the problem and the client’s personal preference. Psychotherapy does help not only in resolving all these matters, but also in developing extra skills, like communicational or social skills, as well as in developing an insight on personal and on other people’s feelings.
